To use an IR connection, the compatible device with which you want to estab- lish a connection must be IrDA compliant.
When sending and receiving data using IR, ensure that the IR ports of the sen- ding and receiving devices are pointing at each other and that there are no obstructions between the two devices. The preferable distance between the two devices in an IR connection is 3.28 feet (1 meter) at most.
To activate the IR port of your phone to receive data using IR, press Menu, and select Settings Connectivity Infrared. If the data transfer is not started within 2 minutes after the activation of the IR port, the connectin is cancelled and must be restarted.
