Backup Snapshots
All128snapshotscanbetransferredtoanother internalnonvolatilememoryareaforlaterref erence.Thereisenoughmemoryfortwocom pletesnapshotsetstobebackedup.
Pressthe“menu”key( )thenchoosethe “Snapshots”andthenthe“Backup”optionto arriveatthebackupdisplay(Graphic28).

Select“Create #1”tosavethecurrentsnapshots tobank1.Select“Restore #1”tooverwritethe currentsnapshotswithbank1(dittoforbank2).
WhendumpingtoaMIDIsequencer,makesure thatthesequencerisnotsendingorreceiving dataotherthanthesnapshotdump.
Certain sequencers are not capable of han- dling the amount of data output by the
Toinitiateadump,pressthe“menu”keythen
choosethe“Snapshot”andthenthe“Dump”
option.Starttherecordingprocessonthese
quencer,thenpress“Transmit”.Thisreleases
thedumptothesequencer.
Loading Snapshots
Toloadasnapshotdumpfromsequencer,sim
plyplaythedumpsequence.TheDS1MK3will automaticallyswitchintoreceivemodeanddis playstatisticsaboutthesnapshotsit’sreceiving. IfthetransmissionwasOK,theprogram switchesbacktonormalmode.Uponerror,you havetomanuallyswitchbacktonormalmode.
A backup will overwrite “safe” snapshots.
Reset all Snapshots
Toreinstallthefactorysnapshotspressthe “menu”keythen“snapshots”andthenthe“Re setall”option.Thiswillresetthecurrentsnap shots.Thesnapshotsthathavebeenbackedup arepreserved.

Dump Snapshots
Thesettingsofall128snapshotscanbedumped
toaremotecontrolporttobestoredexternally. Pleasemakesurethatyouhaveconnectedeve rythingcorrectlyandthattheproperremote controlportisactivated(seechapterRemote Controlforsetup).
When playing back the dump sequence, always use the same speed as when the sequence was recorded.
