Thisprojectorusesahigh-pressurelampwhichmustbehandledcarefullyandproperly.
Improperhandlingmayresultinaccidents,injury,orcreateafirehazard.
●Lamplifemaydifferfromlamptolampand accordingtotheenvironmentofuse.Thereisnoguarantee
ofthesame lifeforeach lamp.Somelamps mayfailor terminatetheirlife inashorterperiod oftime
thanothersimilarlamps.
●Iftheprojector indicatesthatthe lampshouldbe replaced,i.e.,ifthe LAMPREPLACEindicator lights
up,replacethelampwithanewoneIMMEDIATELYaftertheprojectorhascooleddown.
(Followcarefullytheinstructions intheLampReplacementsection ofthismanual.)Continuous useof
thelampwiththeLAMPREPLACEindicatorlightedmayincreasetheriskoflampexplosion.
●ALampmay explodeas aresultof vibration,shock ordegradation asaresult ofhours ofuseas its
lifetimedraws to an end. Risk of explosion may differ according to the environment or conditions in
whichtheprojectorandlamparebeingused.
IF A LAMP EXPLODES, THE FOLLOwING SAFETy PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN.
Ifa lamp explodes, disconnect the projector’s AC plug from theAC outlet immediately. Contact an
authorizedservice station for a checkup of the unit and replacement of the lamp.Additionally, check
carefullytoensurethatthereare nobrokenshardsorpiecesof glassaroundtheprojectoror comingout
fromthecooling aircirculation holes.Anybroken shardsfound shouldbecleaned upcarefully.No one
shouldcheck the inside of the projector except those who are authorized trained technicians and who
arefamiliarwithprojector service.Inappropriateattemptsto servicetheunit byanyone,especiallythose
whoarenotappropriatelytrainedtodoso,mayresult inanaccidentorinjurycausedbypiecesofbroken
glass.
