7-1. Attaching the Optional Arm

An optional arm (or an optional stand) can be at tached by removing the stand section.
Attention
• W hen attaching an arm or s tand, follow the instruction s of their User’s Manual.
• W hen using another manufactu rer’s arm or stand, conr m the following in advance and select one confor ming to the VESA
standard.
- Clearance between the scre w holes: 100 mm × 100 mm
- Thickness of plate: 2.6 mm
- Strong enough to support weight of the mo nitor unit (except the stand) and attach ments such as cables.
• W hen using another manufactu rer’s arm or stand, use the screws a s described below.
- Screws xing the stand to t he monitor
• W hen using an arm or stand, at tach it to meet the following tilt angles of the mon itor.
- Up 90˚, down 5˚ (landscape display / turned 90˚ clock wise to portrait display)
• W hen setting the monitor to the por trait style, turn t he monitor screen 90˚ in clockwise di rection.
• Con nect the cables after attach ing an arm or stand.
• Do not move the re moved stand up and down. Doing so may result in i njury or device damage.
• The mo nitor and arm or stand are heav y. Dropping them may result in injur y or equipment damage.

Procedure

1. Lay the LCD monitor on a soft cloth spread over on a stable surface with the

panel surface facing down.

Remove the stand.

Using a screwdriver, loosen the screws securing the u nit and the stand.

3.

Attach the arm or stand to the monitor.

Secure the monitor to the arm or st and using the screws specied in the User’s Manual of the arm or stand .
