The scanner does not scan. Try connecting the scanner directly to the computers USB port, or 7-12 The scanner software does not work properly. Quality problems The entire image is distorted or blurred. Part of the image is distorted or blurred. c Edges of the document are not scanned. 7-14 Colors are patchy or distorted at the edges of the image. The image is faint or out of focus. The image is too dark. Straight lines in the image come out jagged. The image does not look the same as the original. 7-16 A line of dots is always missing from the scanned image. A line of dots always appears in the scanned image. Moir (cross hatch) patterns appear in the scanned image during halftone scanning Colors differs from the original or look strange. 7-18 Colors on your monitor are different from those in the original image. Printed colors are different from those in the original image. The printed image is larger or smaller than the original. Scanned images cannot be printed or come out garbled when printed. The colors of negative film preview images look strange. Software setup problems 7-20 You cannot install EPSON TWAIN. Page Software operation problems 7-22 You cannot start EPSON TWAIN. You cant select optional equipment (Automatic Document Feeder or Film Adapter). 7-24 Scanning problems Image is dark, with little or no detail. You cannot scan an image or you only get a few dots for the scanned image. Scanned image is too large. Poor character recognition during OCR scanning. Paper jams 7-26 Scanning does not start by pressing the Start button. Paper gets jammed in the Automatic Document Feeder.
