The Start Button Feature

The Start Button feature allows you to scan and send data to a

target application with a single push of your scanner’s

Start

button. The following sections will help you set up you r

PageManager for EPSON and EPSON Scanner Monitor software,

or Windows 98 system, so you can begin to use the Start Button

feature.

Note for Windows 98 users:

The Start Button feature is supported by Windows 98, the EPSON

Scanner Monitor software will not be installed onto Windows 98.

See page 5-13 for instructions on setting up the Start Button feature.

Note:

If the scanner is connected to a PC which is running EPSON Scan

Server, the Start Button feature mentioned above is disabled. For

information on using the Start button in a networked environment, refer

to the EPSON Scan Server & EPSON TWAIN Pro Network User’s

Guide.

Quality problems The entire image is distorted or blurred. The image is too dark. Straight lines in the image come out jagged. The image does not look the same as the original. A line of dots is always missing from the scanned image. 7-14 A line of dots always appears in the scanned image. Moir (cross hatch) patterns appear in the scanned image during halftone scanning Colors differs from the original or look strange. Colors on your monitor are different from those in the original image. 7-16 Printed colors are different from those in the original image. The printed image is larger or smaller than the original. Scanned images cannot be printed or come out garbled when printed. The colors of negative film preview images look strange. 7-18 Software setup problems You cannot install EPSON TWAIN Pro.
