This chapter explains how to set up your printer. If you did not already do this as described in the Start Here guide, follow the procedures here. (If you did set up your printer, skip to Chapter 3.)

Unpacking the Printer

Your printer box should include a CD-ROM, which includes the printer software that runs your printer, and the following items:

paper support

printer

User’s Guide

CD-ROM

(printer software)

ink

cartridge

Remove all protective materials packed with your printer before you set it up and turn on the power. Follow the instructions on the NOTICE sheet packed with the printer to remove these materials. Save all packaging and protective materials in case you need to transport the printer later.
