Precautions

Available interfaces

Unless you are using a MacintoshTM, you can use any built-in or optional interface to connect your printer to your computer.

Note for Macintosh users:

When you install this PostScript CARD in your printer, you can connect it to your Macintosh with the optional LocalTalkTM interface C82312*. Do not use the serial interface for this purpose, because the Macintosh does not have a printer driver for the serial interface.

For EPL-7000/7100 Users

Your printer always reprints jammed pages after a paper jam error is corrected, even if JAM RECOVERY is OFF.

You may get a PAPER SIZE ERROR if you try to print on a paper size that cannot be selected with SelecType. If this error occurs, press RESET until the display shows RESET.

When your printer is used with two computers, the PostScript CARD should be used with channel S. If you want to use the card with channel P, set the MEMORY menu to S 0:10P.

You cannot connect the EPL-7000/7100 to a Macintosh computer.
