To verify that the ROM module is correctly installed, print a status sheet. See “Testing the Printer Connection” on page 16.

If the ROM module is not listed under the Hardware Configurations section of the status sheet, turn off the printer, unplug it, disconnect all interface cables, and review the steps above to make sure you installed the module correctly. If the ROM module still does not show up in the status sheet, contact your dealer or a qualified service representative for assistance.

Interface Cards

Your printer comes with a Type B interface slot. You can install an optional interface card into this slot to expand the flexibility of your printer. For example, installing an optional Ethernet card turns your printer into a network printer.

Installing

Follow the instructions below to install an optional interface card:
