Taking Photos in Automatic Mode

Automatic photography mode lets you capture high- resolution images without making complicated settings. You can use the zoom buttons to move in closer to your subject and set the flash for indoor or low-light photos.

In automatic mode, images are captured at a resolution

and quality setting of (2560 × 1920 pixels). To change these settings, use manual mode (see page 20).

You can also use the macro and/or self-timer features in automatic mode. For instructions, see the Reference Guide on your computer. See page 15 for instructions on installing the Reference Guide and software.

1Turn the Mode dial to automatic.

2Make sure you are at least 20 inches (50 cm) away from your subject.

Note:

To turn on digital zoom, see the Reference Guide on your computer.

To zoom in on your subject, press the T (telephoto) button. To zoom in more, release the button and press it again.

To zoom out, press the W (wide-angle) button. To zoom out more, release the button and press it again.
