Draft mode uses fewer dots per character for high-speed printing, which makes it ideal for rough drafts and editing work.

Roman and Sans Serif are Letter Quality (LQ) fonts. Letter Quality takes a little longer to print, but produces fully-formed characters for presentation-quality documents.

Selecting a font with the control panelTo select a font using the control panel buttons, follow these steps:1.Be sure the printer is on, contains paper, and is on line.

2.Check to see that the printer is not receiving data (the READY light should not be flickering).

Draft:Press the LINE FEED button to select Draft. The beeper sounds once when draft is selected.

Roman: Press the FORM FEED button to select Roman. Two short (0.1 s) beeps sound when Roman is selected.

Sans Serif: Press the FORM FEED button to select Sans Serif. Two long (0.6 s) beeps sound when Sans Serif is selected.

The font selected by the FORM FEED or LINE FEED button remains valid until another font is selected by a software command or until the printer is turned off, reset, or initialized.
