Taking Pictures Using the Viewfinder
Using the viewfinder instead of
the LCD monitor when taking
pictures saves battery power
and helps you hold the camera
steady when pressing the
shutter button.
Follow the steps below.
1. Turn the camera’s dial switch to . Then wait
until the shooting light beside the viewfinder
turns green.
2. Look straight through the viewfinder and center
your subject in the cross-hairs. If you cannot see
clearly, adjust the diopter by turning the
correction dial beside the viewfinder.
Note:
Hold the camera firmly with both hands and keep
the posture for a while when you press the shutter
button.
Make sure you are not blocking the lens with your
finger, strap, clothing, or other objects.
The frame in the viewfinder indicates the area
captured when taking pictures at close range.
3. Hold the shutter button halfway down to lock the
auto focus. The shooting light beside the
viewfinder stops blinking after the lens locks in
focus. If you wish, you can now move your subject
off-center without altering the focus.
4. Press the shutter button the rest of the way down
to take the photo.
