Selecting slow synchro timing
You can select flash timing for slow synchro. The
leading synchro is a normal setting that is suitable for
most cases. The trailing synchro is a special setting that
is effective in expressing motion. Follow the steps
below to select the slow synchro timing.
1. Turn the camera’s dial switch to .
2. Press Shot SETUP.
3. Press Synchro Flash to select Leading or Trailing.
4. Press BACK to return to the previous screen.
Note:
You cannot select the slow synchro timing when the
Full Auto camera mode is selected.
To use the selected timing, select slow synchro for the
flash. See “Setting the flash” on page 2-9.
Selecting the internal or external flash
The PhotoPC 850Z has a convenient built-in flash. It
satisfies ordinary flash needs. If you need more light,
you can attach an external flash, which is available as
a camera accessory sold separately, to the PhotoPC
850Z.
Slide the mounting foot of the flash into the hot-shoe
attachment on the top of the PhotoPC 850Z and secure
the lock mechanism. For details about the flash, see its
user’s guide.

Be sure to turn off the camera and flash before
connecting them.
Follow the steps below to select the internal or external
flash.
