Selecting the signal system and language

Depending on the country of purchase, you
need to choose the NTSC or PAL signal
system to meet your local television
broadcasting standards. You can also choose English,
Japanese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese,
Spanish or Chinese as the language used to display
camera information on the LCD monitor. To select the
signal system and language, follow the steps below.
1. Turn the camera’s dial switch to .
2. Press the W.B. button.
3. Press the ISO, W.B., +, and - buttons to highlight
your language.
4. Press Signal system to select NTSC or PAL .
5. Press SET to save your settings.

Selecting a folder in the CompactFlash Card

If there is more than one folder in your CompactFlash
Card, you can use your camera to change the folder
your camera accesses. To change the folder, follow
these steps.
1. Turn the camera’s dial switch to .
2. Press Memory SETUP. The name of the folder
being currently accessed appears on the left side
of the LCD monitor, in the middle.
3. Press the + or - button to change the folder.
Viewing the Color Guide
The Color Guide, included in your Color Guide CD-
ROM, contains ideas for taking pictures with your
digital camera and working with your digital images,
and provides useful information on color imaging.
You need one of the following browsers, or an
equivalent, to view the Color Guide.
