3. Press the + button to the select INT for the built-in
flash or EXT for the external flash.
4. Press BACK to return to the previous screen.
Note:
❏The external flash can work in all camera modes.
EPSON recommends you use the Manual camera
mode to use the external flash.
❏When you use the external flash, the internal flash
setting is disabled and the button does not work.
Changing the color/monochrome setting
You can take both color and monochrome photos with
the PhotoPC 850Z. To select color or monochrome,
follow these steps.
Note:
The file size of photos is the same for color and monochrome.
1. Turn the dial switch to .
2. Press Shot SETUP to change the setting screen.
3. Press the button at the bottom left to select Color
or B/W on the monitor.
4. Press BACK to return to the previous screen.
Making user settings for white balance
Following the steps below to create your own white
balance setting.
Note:
The custom white balance setting does not change when the
camera is turned off.
1. Turn the camera’s dial switch to .
2. Press Shot SETUP.
3. Press the W.B. button. A message appears asking
you if you want to save the new settings. Press Yes
to continue making settings.
4. Place a white sheet in front of the camer a lens so
that it is previewed on the whole LCD monitor.
You can also use a colored sheet. For example, to
create a sepia hue, use a blue sheet. To create a
blue hue, use a yellow sheet. Experiment with
other colors for different effects.
Note:
To cancel the white balance setting, press BACK.
