Turning the Power Off
1Set the main switch to “MONITOR OFF” or “CAMERA.”
2Close the lens cover.
œThe power turns off.
œThe stand-by indicator turns off.
œIf the main switch was set to “CAMERA,” the LCD
monitor turns off.
Turning the Power On when the Power SaveFunction is Active
In order to save the battery power, the power save function will automatically turn off the power
after one minute of no use in the camera mode, or five minutes of no use in the image playback
mode.

To restore power for capturing images

1Close and open the lens cover, or press the shutter
release button once.

To restore power for viewing images

1Close and open the lens cover, or set the main switch
to another position, then back to “PLAY.”
NOTE
œWhen using the AC adaptor (sold separately), the power save function will become active after
about 30 minutes of inactivity. Also, when using battery power and connecting the digital
camera to a personal computer, the power save function will become active after about five
minutes of no use.
œBy connecting your digital camera to a computer, you can set the time that needs to elapse
before the power save function activates. For more details, refer to the instruction manual
supplied with the SANYO Software Pack.
