5. Taking the ACT Practice Tests

The ACT Practice Test menu contain the list of available practice tests. After reviewing the preparation materials, you are ready to take a practice test. But before you begin, you should know what to expect. Taking a practice test on the unit is different from taking a practice test on paper.

This chapter describes how to do the following:

•access practice tests;

•read instructions and passages for a test section;

•answer the different types of multiple-choice questions; and

•check your test scores.

It is strongly recommended that you read this entire chapter before you begin an ACT practice test.
