 NOTES for SENSOR COOKING

SENSOR COOKING applies to the following selections: Sensor Cook, Popcorn, Veggies, Baked Potato, Sensor Reheat

Sensor Cooksensor NOTES for SENSOR COOKING

1.SENSOR MODES can be programmed with More or Less Time Adjustment. Press the power level pad once or twice before cooking is started. See page 24.

2.Each food has a cooking hint. Press the user pref pad when the HELP indicator is lighted in the display.

3.Should you attempt to enter more or less than the allowed amount, an error message will appear in the display. More or less than the quantity listed in the chart should be cooked following the guidelines in any microwave cookbook.

4.The final cooking result will vary according to the food condition (e.g. initial temperature, shape, quality). Check food for temperature after cooking. If additional time is needed, continue to cook manually.

5.When sensor detects the vapor emitted from the foods, manipulation message or remaining cooking time will be displayed.

6.Stay near the oven while it’s in use and check cooking progress frequently so that there is no chance of overcooking food.

7.When SENSOR COOKING are selected Turntable On is automatically set for optimum cooking.

There are 5 foods (Frozen Entrees, Ground Meat, Rice, Fish/Seafood, and Chicken Breast) under the SENSOR COOK that uses the sensor.

You can cook many foods by pressing the sensor cook pad and the food number. You don’t need to calculate cooking time or power level.

• Suppose you want to cook Frozen Entrees.

Use this pad for frozen, convenience foods. It will give satisfactory results for most

outer wrapping and follow package directions for covering. After cooking, let stand,

2. Ground Meat*

Use this setting to cook ground beef or turkey as patties or in a casserole to be added to

other ingredients. Place patties on a microwave-safe rack and cover with wax paper. Place

 

 

ground meat in a casserole and cover with wax paper or plastic wrap. When oven stops,

 

 

turn patties over or stir meat in casserole to break up large pieces. Re-cover and press

 

 

the START enter +30 sec pad. After cooking, let stand, covered, for 2 to 3 minutes.

 

 

 

 

3. Rice*

0.5 - 2.0 cups

Place rice into a deep casserole dish and add double quantity of water. Cover with

 

 

lid or plastic wrap. After cooking, stir, cover and let stand 3 to 5 minutes or until all
