Installing FinePixViewer: Macintosh

1Confirm that the computer meets the following system requirements:

Power Macintosh G3, PowerBook G3, Power Macintosh G4, iMac, iBook, Power Macintosh G4 Cube,

PowerBook G4, Power Macintosh G5, MacBook, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, or Mac Pro

 

CPU

PowerPC or Intel

OS

Mac OS X version 10.3.9–10.4.11 (as of July 1, 2008; visit http://www.fujifilm.com for more information)

RAM

256 MB or more

Free disk space

A minimum of 200 MB required for installation with 400 MB available when FinePixViewer is running

Video

800×600 pixels or more with thousands of colors or better

 

• Built-in USB port recommended. Operation is not guaranteed other USB ports

Other

• Internet connection (56kbps or faster recommended) required to use FinePix Internet Service; Internet

 

connection and e-mail software required to use e-mail option

 

 

2After starting the computer and quitting any applications that may be running, insert the installer CD in a CD-ROM drive. Double-click the FinePix CD icon on the desktop and double-click Installer for Mac OS X.

3An installer dialog will be displayed; click Installing FinePixViewer to start installation. Enter an administrator name and password when prompted and click OK, then follow the on-screen instructions to install FinePixViewer. Click Exit to quit the installer when installation is complete.
