Using the Menus: Shooting Mode
nISO
Control the camera’s sensitivity to light. Higher values can be used to reduce blur when lighting is poor; note, however, that mottling may appear in pictures taken at high sensitivities. If 4, 4 (1600), 4(800), or 4(400) is selected, the camera will adjust sensitivity automatically in response to shooting conditions. The maximum value that will be selected by the camera at settings of 4 (1600), 4(800), or 4(400) is 1600, 800, or 400 respectively.
The options available for nISO vary with shooting mode. In M and F modes, the options available for nISO are further limited by the option selected for oQUALITY (pg. 65).
