RINTELLIGENT DIGITAL ZOOM

(defaults to OFF)

If ON is selected, selecting iat the maximum optical zoom position triggers intelligent digital zoom, further magnifying the image while processing it for sharp, high-resolution results.

Optical zoom

RIntelligent digital zoom may end when another mode is selected.

RIntelligent digital zoom may sometimes produce lower quality images than optical zoom. R The time needed to record images increases.

R The effects are not visible in the display during shooting.

R Intelligent digital zoom is not available in continuous mode or during movie recording.

CAF ILLUMINATOR

(defaults to ON)

If ON is selected, the AF-assist illuminator will light to assist autofocus.

 

QThe camera may be unable to focus using the AF-assist illuminator in some cases. If the cam- era is unable to focus in macro mode, try increasing the distance to the subject.

QAvoid shining the AF-assist illuminator directly into your subject’s eyes.
