NUsing the Flash (Super-Intelligent Flash)
When the flash is used, the camera’s
1 Raise the flash.

Lower the fl ash where fl ash photography is prohibited or to capture natural lighting under dim light. At slow shutter speeds, k will be displayed to warn that pictures may be blurred; use of a tripod is recommended.
2Choose a flash mode.
Press the selector right (N), and then press the selector left or right to highlight one of the following options and press MENU/OK.
Mode | Description |
A(AUTO FLASH) The fl ash fi res when required. Recommended in most situations.
NThe fl ash fi res whenever a picture is taken. Use for backlit subjects or for natural color-
(FORCED FLASH) ation when shooting in bright light.
OCapture both the main subject and the background under low light (note that brightly (SLOW SYNCHRO) lit scenes may be overexposed).
