Disconnect and connect again the IEEE1394 cable.

Are the DynaMO and the IEEE1394 I/F card recognized on Device Manager? From Control Panel, select "System", click the "Device Manager" tab, and check that the DynaMO and the IEEE1394 I/F card are recognized.

There may not be enough power capacity. Disconnect the IEEE1394 cable from the DynaMO, connect the supplemental power supply (AC adapter), and then re-connect the IEEE1394 cable to the DynaMO.
