Using Your Notebook While It Is
Installed In the Base Enhancement Unit
There are a few differences you will notice
between using your notebook in and out of the
Base Enhancement Unit.
■A floppy disk drive.
■A CD-ROM drive.
■In the Windows 95 Start menu there is a PC
Eject choice between the Suspend mode and
Shutdown selections.(Use the PC Eject
choice to enable the safe undocking
of your LifeBook.)
■There is an External Monitor port.
■There are two USB ports.
■There is a Serial port.
■There is a Parallel port.
■There is both an external PS/2 mouse and an
external PS/2 keyboard port.
■There is a MIDI/joystick port.
■There is a Stereo Line Out jack.
■There is a Composite Video jack.
■There are stereo speakers.

C A U T I O N
The Base Enhancement Unit does not
support hot-docking. You must shut
down Windows 95 and turn the power
switch to off before docking or undock-
ing your notebook.
