Th ermostats automat ical ly reset after th e mot or h as cooled somewhat. In order

to preven t pro pert y damag e or injury to personnel, the control circuit should be

designed to prevent re-en ergizing of the motor when the thermostat resets.

H. Speed Li mit Devic e
The mech anical speed limit device is non-adjustable. Tripping speed is specified by a note on the print cer-
tification for each specific order.
The speed limit electrical con tacts are normally closed and are usually conn ected in relay or h olding circuits.
Current ratin gs are the same as those listed in Table 5.
A speed limit device is furnished on machin es only wh en ordered.

Th e con tacts of th e speed l imi t devi ce aut omati call y reclo se after t he speed has

fallen below the trip value. In order to prevent property damage or injury to

personnel, the control circuit should be designed to prevent re-energizing the

motor until the cause of t he overspeed has been corrected.
