Battery Care During Storage
When the vehicle will not be used for a period of 10 days or longer, check battery water lev- els (flooded type batteries) and perform one of the battery storage procedures listed in the chart below.

Storage Period | Charging Procedure |
Less than 10 days | Fully charge the batteries, park the vehicle and turn the ignition |
| key off. The battery will lose some of its charge during this |
| period. |
10 days to 24 weeks | Option 1: Leave the charger connected and the main |
| disconnect switch ON (only up to 24 weeks). See page 60. |
| Option 2: Disconnect the charger, turn the main disconnect |
| switch off, and arrange for monthly charging. |
Indefinitely or Unknown | Disconnect the charger, turn the main disconnect switch off, and |
| arrange for monthly charging. |
