Step 3 - Connect Speakers
1Make sure the power is turned off to prevent possible dam-
age to the system.
2Connect each pair of speaker wires to the red and black con-
nectors on the back of each speaker, and to the matching
connectors on the back panel of the DVD system. Be sure to
connect all the marked wires to the negative (black) termi-
nals!
3To insert a speaker wire, press down on the red or black
thumb lever, insert the tip of the wire, and then release the
thumb lever to lock the wire in place.
Step 4 - Connect AM Loop Antenna
1Assemble the supplied AM loop antenna by rotating the
base and snapping it into place.
2 Connect the two wires from the AM loop antenna to the
AM Antenna connector on the back panel. Press down on
the thumb levers to insert each wire, and then release to lock
the wires in place.
•CAUTION - Short circuiting the speakers may dam-
age the system. To prevent this, make sure the exposed
tip of each speaker wire does not touch another
speaker wire or another speaker terminal.
•Do not connect speakers or any other devices that are
not included with this system.
•To obtain the best possible surround sound, output a
test tone and balance the speakers; see page 19.
•To prevent noise pickup, keep the AM loop antenna
away from the system and other components.
