CAUTION

DO NOT overfill the water tank. Use only 1 cupful of the included Fill Cup when adding water to the tank.

There is a line indicating the correct level just inside the opening to the Water Tank.

Mineral Deposits:

One problem with a steamer appliance is the mineral deposits caused by the high mineral content in many municipal water supplies. Mineral residue inside of the internal pipes and heater can cause intermittent steaming or, in some cases, no steam at all.

To reduce or eliminate the occurrence of mineral deposits, we recommend the use of de-mineralized or distilled water in the unit. However, regular tap water may be used.

If regular tap water is used, we recommend the use of a ‘Lime & Scale Remover’ every 2 or 3 months to ensure optimum functionality from your HAAN® Floor Sanitizer. You can purchase this directly from the HAAN® web site (see below).

Irritant - avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. DO NOT breathe dust. void prolonged or repeated exposure. DO NOT ingest.

IMPORTANT

Fresh Rinse™ Lime & Scale Remover is only for use with the HAAN® Steam Cleaners.

How to use the Fresh Rinse™ Lime & Scale Remover (Fig 33):

1)Pour 1 cup of water (8 oz.) into the Water Tank.

2)Add the Fresh Rinse™ (Fig 34) to the water tank.

3)Lift the unit and gently shake the water tank to dissolve the remover. After a few minutes, empty the tank of water and rinse the tank of residue before using your HAAN® Pet Plus™.

4)We recommend using the Fresh Rinse™ Lime & Scale Remover once very 2-3 months to ensure optimum function from your HAAN® Pet Plus™ Steam Cleaning Floor Sanitizer.

in case of contact with eyes or skin: Hold eye open and rinse with copious amounts of cool water for 15-20 minutes. If applicable, remove contact lenses after first 15 minutes and continue rinsing. Wash skin with soap and lots of water. Call a Poison Control Center or your physician for additional treatment advice.

IN CASE OF INGESTION: If swallowed, do not induce vomiting; if person is conscious wash out mouth with water. Drink a glass of water followed with milk. Call a physician immediately.

If inhaled: Remove to fresh air; if not breathing, give artificial respiration, and if breathing is still difficult, give oxygen.
