02 Introduction
Connect ing a DVD p layer / S atell ite / cab le
set top box receiver / games console / PC or
Laptop
There are s evera l optio ns to con necti ng a DVD
player / Satellite or Cable set top box receive r /
games con sole / PC o r Lapto p to your T V.
Option 1 SCART
Connect a SCART cable (not supplied)
from the SC ART sock et on the T V to the DV D
player / Satellite or cable set top box receiver or
games consol.
To select the device connected with the
SCART cable press the SOURCE button on the
remote an d use the k eys to select SCART
and press t he OK butto n.
Note:- Th e TV will de fault t o the SCA RT
connection when the TV is switched on.
Option 2 HDMI
If the devi ce you wa nt to connect to the TT
is switch ed on, sw itch of f the dev ice fir st.
Connect a HDMI cab le (not s upplied) from
the HDMI socket on the TV to the DVD player /
Satellite or cable receiver or games consol.
Switch on t he devi ce you ha ve just
connected to the TV
To select the device connected with the
HDMI cabl e press t he SOURCE butto n on the
remote an d use the k eys to select HDMI and
press the OK button.
Option 3 AV Audio Visual
(Yellow/White/Red)
Make sure t hat bot h TV and th e devic e are
switched off before connecting.
Connect the AV cables (not supplied) from
the Video (yellow) and Audio (white, red)
sockets on the TV to the DVD player or games
console etc.
To select the device connected with the
AVI cable pr ess the S OURCE b utton o n the
remote an d use the k eys to se lect AV and
press the O K butto n.
Option 4 COMPONENT
(Green/Blue/Red)+(White/Red)
Make sure t hat bot h TV and th e devic e are
switched off before connecting.
Connect t he cables (not supplied) from the
COMPONENT IN sockets Y, Pb, Pr (green,
blue, red ) and L-A udio- R (whit e, red) o n the TV
to the DVD player or games console etc.
To select the d evice c onnec ted wit h the AVI
cable pre ss the SO URCE bu tton on t he remo te
and use the k eys to se lect CO MPONE NT
and press t he OK butto n.
Option 5 VGA (15 pin Sub -D)
Connect a V GA cable ( not sup plied) from the
VGA socket o n the TV to t he PC / Lap top.
To select the P C / Lapto p conne cted wi th the
VGA cable press the SOURCE button on the
remote an d use the k eys to select PC and
press the OK button.
Note VGA is video only. For audio from your
PC/Lapt op you ne ed to con nect a se parat e
cable fro m the PC Aud io (3.5 mm jack ) to the
headphone socket on you PC/Laptop (3.5mm
jack)
Option 6 USB
Most USB st icks ca n be conn ected t o your TV
and some digital cameras may also work.
Connect USB stick (not supplied) or a USB
cable (not supplied) to the TV.
To select the USB device connected to the TV,
press the S OURCE b utton o n the rem ote and
use the key s to select USB and press the
OK button.
Note1:- O nly *.j pg and *. mp3 fil es will w ork,
other fil e types a re not gu arant eed and m ay not.
Note 2. Apple iPhones and iPods are not
compatible with you TV.
Note 3. Whe n conne cting a ny devi ce to the U SB
connect ion, ke ep the US B cable l ength a s short
as possible.
