A. Before Operating This Appliance
Have a qualifi ed technician:
• Remove all shipping materials from inside and/or
underneath the fi rebox.
• Review proper placement of logs, rockwool, lava rock and
vermiculite.
• Check the wiring.
• Check the air shutter adjustment.
• Ensure that there are no gas leaks.
• Ensure that the glass doors are in the proper position.
• Ensure that the fl ow of combustion and ventilation air is
not obstructed (front grilles and vent caps).
If installing Intellifi re Ignition battery backup:
• Do not install batteries if the backup mode may
not be used for extended time.
• Batteries may leak.
• Install batteries only when needed for power
outage.

appliance. For assistance or additional information consult
a qualifi ed installer, service agency or the gas supplier.

Do NOT use this appliance if any part has been under
water. Immediately call a qualifi ed service technician
to inspect the appliance and to replace any part of the
control system and any gas control which has been
under water.
