World Scale
1-5 Introduction
Hobart uses specific formats to make it easier for you to identify
key selections throughout the manuals. These formats are
described in the following topics:
♦ Online Viewing
♦ Keystrokes and Data Entry Procedures
♦ Quick Steps
♦ World Scale Manual Overview
♦ Special Instructions
Online Viewing
If you are viewing this manual online, you have the advantage of
using the cross-referencing feature that has been built into the
document. All Table of Contents page numbers and certain
italicized text have been made into cross-references.
For example, the text may say:
Refer to the topic, Online Viewing for further information.
If you move your mouse directly over the page number or text and
your mouse cursor changes to a pointing hand, then this is a cross-
reference. If you click on this text, you will be taken to that point
in the document.
You can then use the back arrow on the top of your screen to take
you back to your starting point.
Keystrokes and Data Entry
Procedures
This manual will use the following methods to explain keystrokes
and data entry procedures:
♦ The word PRESS means to press a key on the Control Panel.
• A Short PRESS means to press a key and release quickly.
You will hear one beep.
• A Long PRESS means to press a key and hold it long
enough to hear a second beep.
♦ The word TYPE means to Short PRESS one or more keys on
the Control Panel (WC30 only).
♦ Words in uppercase enclosed in brackets (for example
[SAVE]) represent specific keys.
