5. PRE-OPERATION CHECKS For your personal safety and the service life of your equipment, always
perform checks before using your tractor.
Before beginning a pre-operation check, be sure:
l The tractor is parked on a level surface.
l The parking brake is set, the main transmission selector is in neutral (N),
and the PTO clutch lever is “OFF”.
l Any attachment is lowered to the ground and the lift control lever is in
the “DOWN” position.
l The engine switch key is removed.
WALK-AROUND CHECKS
Walk around the tractor and check its general condition.
Look around and underneath it for signs of fluid leaks.
Clean any excessive accumulation of dirt and debris, especially around
moving components. Look for signs of damage. Check nuts, bolts,
screws, and pins for tightness.
In particular, check the following items:
l Fuel level
l Tires/Wheels
