Using the Keypad

Navigation keys

Power key

Navigation Keys

Located in the center of the keypad for easy access with either hand, the navigation keys enable you to move the cursor up and down lines and from character to character.

Basic Keys

ALPHA

Toggles the keypad between alpha (upper and lowercase) and numeric

 

modes. The 'A/a/1” indicator on the Title Bar changes accordingly.

 

 

Backspace

Backspace moves the cursor back one space each time the key is pressed.

(BKSP)

If you are typing text, BKSP deletes the previous character each time it is

 

pressed.

 

 

Control

Modifies the next key pressed to type specific characters (e.g., pressing

(CTRL)

CTRL and a “2”, types an “@” sign.

 

 

Escape

Cancels an action.

(ESC)

 

 

 

Enter (ENT)

Confirms data entry.

 

 

Power

Suspends/resumes the terminal and performs a soft and hard reset, as well

 

as powering on/off the terminal.
