 USB is configurable for Keyboard Emulation Mode, Bi-Directional Serial Emulation Mode or IBM OEM. The default USB setting is Keyboard Emulation Mode.

The MS7580 with a built-in PC Keyboard Wedge interface is designed for Keyboard emulation use only. Many RS232 configurable functions, available in other Honeywell imagers, are also available as keyboard wedge functions.
