HP LaserJet printing supplies warranties

HP warranties are clear, fair and easy to manage, giving you and your customers the knowledge that any defects will be resolved without question. This at-a-glance guide explains the levels of warranty that apply to different HP LaserJet printing supplies.

Monochrome print cartridges

HP LaserJet print cartridges are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship until the HP toner is depleted.

Colour toner bottles and kits

HP LaserJet colour toner bottles and kits for the HP Color LaserJet 5/5m are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship for 90 days from date of purchase.

New colour cartridges and kits

HP Color LaserJet cartridges are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship until the HP toner is depleted. The HP LaserJet Drum Kit is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship until the ‘low-life’ message appears. The HP LaserJet Fuser and Transfer Kit are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year or until the ‘low-life’ message appears, whichever comes first.

Not covered

Warranties do not cover cartridges which have been refilled, emptied or abused, or those which are missing or have been tampered with in any way.

Using non-HP LaserJet print cartridges

If a non-HP print cartridge is found to be the direct cause of printer failure or damage, HP will not cover the repair related to that non-HP cartridge.

Returning HP product

In the event that a cartridge proves defective, the customer should return it to the place of purchase, where a replacement will be given. Customers should provide their name, address, and phone number, as well as a brief description of the problem.
