Before removing the flash drive, follow these steps:

1.Shut down the computer.

2.Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

3.Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

4.Remove the battery (see Battery on page 30).

Remove the flash drive:

1.Position the computer with the front toward you.

2.Loosen the Phillips PM2.5×6.0 captive screw (1) that secures the flash drive compartment cover to the computer.

3.Lift the left side of the flash drive compartment cover (2), swing it to right, and remove the cover

(3). The flash drive compartment cover is included in the Plastics Kit, spare part number 481105-001.

CAUTION: The flash drive is connected to the system board by a delicate, multiple-pin connector. The flash drive must be lifted straight up to be disconnected and removed. Any rocking motion during removal can damage the flash drive pins on the system board.
