4.Enter a name in the New Name field. Names can be 1 to 15 characters in length. Permitted characters are case-sensitive and can consist of A–Z, 0–9, spacebar, and hyphen.

5.Click OK to transfer the new name to the Names dialog box. Changes made to the Names dialog box are not saved until you click OK.

6.Repeat steps 3 through 5 for each server in the system.

7.Click OK in the Names dialog box to save your changes. -or-

Click X to exit, or press the ESC key to exit the dialog box without saving changes.

Assigning Device Types

While the console switch automatically discovers cascade switches attached to your unit, you must specify the number of ports on the cascade switch through the Devices dialog box.
