Choose the type of Internet connection
There are 3 basic types of Internet connection:
■Broadband: High-speed Internet access is available through
❏Cable modem
❏Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)
❏Satellite
❏Other services
For broadband access, additional hardware and/or software must be provided by your ISP.
■Wireless: For high-speed mobile Internet access, you can use a wireless connection. A wireless network set up at home requires a wireless router (purchased separately). To learn about setting up wireless access, visit http://www.hp.com/go/techcenter/wireless (English only).
■Dial-up:You can access the Internet by dialing into a service provider using a modem cable connected to the RJ-11 (modem) jack.
