*The SAR limit for mobile devices used by the public is 2.0 watts/kilogram (W/kg) averaged over ten grams of body tissue. The guidelines incorporate a substantial margin of safety to give additional protection for the public and to account for any variations in measurements. SAR values may vary depending on national reporting requirements and the network band.

U.S. Regulatory Wireless Notice

WARNING! Exposure to Radio Frequency (RF) Radiation The radiated output power of this device is below the FCC radio frequency exposure limits. Nevertheless, the device should be used in such a manner that the potential for human contact during normal operation is minimized.

To avoid the possibility of exceeding the FCC radio frequency exposure limits, human proximity to the antenna should be minimized. The Wireless LAN antenna is located in the bottom front side of the HP iPAQ. The GSM antenna is located in the top back of the HP iPAQ. No metallic body accessories are allowed and 1.5 cm spacing between PDA and the body must be maintained to satisfy RF Exposure.

This PDA has been tested and demonstrated compliance when Bluetooth, WLAN, and mobile phone are transmitting simultaneously. The highest FCC SAR value for this device when tested for use at the head is 1.233 W/kg and when tested for use at the body is 1.322 W/kg. This PDA must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
