Using the Diskette

(Floppy) Drive

Insert the diskette into the drive (select models only) until it locks in place. Insert the diskette with the round metal disk face down and the arrow on the top pointing into the drive.

You can copy files from or to the diskette.

When you are done, check that the light on the drive is off, indicating that the PC is not writing to the diskette, and then press the Eject button on the PC and remove the diskette.

Using the 6-In-1 Memory Card Reader

The optional 6-In-1 memory card reader (select models only) is accessible on the front of the PC or located inside the front cover of the PC. The card reader has two or four horizontal card slots that accept six types of memory cards and the IBM Microdrive disk drive.
