d.To select a different folder for the installation, browse to the folder and click OK. The default folder is C:\Program Files\HP IO Accelerator.

The uninstaller file is placed in the root of the HP IO Accelerator (default install folder).

e.Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the install.

f.Choose Reboot Now on the finish screen of the installer.

5.Update the firmware on each device to the latest version using fio-update-iodrive.

CAUTION: Do not turn off the power during a firmware upgrade, because this might cause device failure. If a UPS is not in place, consider adding one to the system before performing a firmware upgrade.

For all warnings, alerts, and options pertaining to this command utility, see "fio-update-iodrive." Sample syntax:

fio-update-iodrive <iodrive_version.fff>

Where <iodrive_version.fff> is the path to the firmware archive. This command updates all of the devices to the selected firmware. To update specific devices, consult the utility reference for more options.

6.Reboot the system

If you run the fio-statusmissing a lebmap. This is a

command, a warning appears, indicating that the upgraded devices are customary warning, and the issue will be corrected in the next step.

7.Format each device using fio-format. For example: fio-format <device>

CAUTION: Use this utility with care since it deletes all user information on the IO Accelerator.

You are prompted to confirm that you want to erase all data on the device. The format might take an extended period of time, depending on the wear on the device.

8.Attach all IO Accelerator devices. For example: fio-attach /dev/fct*

9.Verify the status of all devices using fio-status. For example: fio-status-a

Your IO Accelerator devices are now upgraded for this version of the HP IO Accelerator. You can now install any IO Accelerator Gen2 devices.

Manual installation on Windows Server

The Windows® Setup program installs your driver and software. However, if the driver does not install, you can perform a manual installation (or upgrade) using the following steps.
