Setting the SCSI ID Online

Use the -ioption on the mptconfig command to change the SCSI ID of a SCSI initiator. For example:

#mptconfig -i 6 /dev/mpt14

Confirm: Do you want to change scsi parameters (y/[n]): y

Scan For Devices to avoid id conflict ...

[Passed]

If you attempt to change the SCSI ID to a number that is already in use by another device, the mptconfig -icommand will fail and a message will alert you that the SCSI ID you selected is already in use.

#mptconfig -i 5 /dev/mpt14

Scan For Devices to avoid id conflict ...
