Removing the Top Case

Required Equipment

•#0 Phillips screwdriver.

Removal Procedure

1.Unplug the AC adapter, if present, and remove the battery.

2.Remove these additional assemblies:

•Plug-in module (page 2-5).

•Hard disk drive (page 2-6).

•Keyboard cover (page 2-9).

•Keyboard (page 2-11).

•Display assembly (page 2-18).

3.Remove the retaining screws from the bottom of the notebook.

4.Remove the screws from just inside the hard disk drive compartment, and just inside the plug-in module compartment.
