5.9Volume Board

✎The volume board removal procedures in this section apply to Compaq Presario R4000 models.

1.Prepare the notebook for disassembly (Section 5.3).

2.Remove the keyboard cover (Section 5.8).

3.Remove the two PM2.0×4.0 screws 1 that secure the volume board to the keyboard cover.

4.Remove the volume board 2.

Removing the Volume Board

Reverse the above procedure to install the volume board.
