To make an emergency call

On the Dialer, enter the international emergency number for your locale (for example, 000), and then press the CALL button on your phone.

Notes • When the screen is locked, press the MENU button, and then touch Emergency call to open the emergency dialer.

•Additional emergency numbers may be included in your SIM card. Contact your wireless service provider for details.

To make an international call

1.Touch and hold the number 0 key on the Dialer until the plus (+) sign appears. The plus (+) sign replaces the international prefix of the country that you are calling.

2.Enter the full phone number that you want to dial, and press the CALL button on your phone. The full phone number includes the country code, area code (without the leading zero, if any), and phone number.

Call voice mail

The voice mail icon ( ) appears in the status bar when you receive a new voice mail message.

To call voice mail

1.Touch and hold the status bar, and then slide your finger downward on the screen to open the notifications panel.

2.Touch the new voice mail message item in the list.

To call voice mail from the Dialer

1.Press the CALL button.

2.Touch and hold the number 1 key.

Note If you have not set up your voice mail number, a missing voice mail number error message appears on the screen when you touch and hold the number 1 key. For more information on how to set up your voice mail number, refer to “Adjusting the Phone Settings” in this chapter.
