6. Hook one end of the spring (35) into hole of clevis pin (33). Stretch spring (35) and hook it into the notch of the bracket with pliers.

7. Insert “T” bolt (36) through Slam Jam bracket (37) as shown in FIG. A. Attach Slam Jam bracket and "T" bolt assembly (37 & 36) to backboard using bolts (18) and nuts (20) as shown.
