If you are replacing an existing Printronix P-
Series printer, SW1-7 and SW1-8 should be
set to the Open (Off) state. This will provide
compatibility with existing jobs. Also, if you
will be port switching, you should set SW1-7
and SW1-8 to be compatible with the
alternate host. See page 12 for more
information. If you set SW1-7 to 6400
Printronix (Open), you must set SW1-8. If
you set SW1-7 to 6400-Epson (Closed), you
do not need to set SW1-8 and you can
leave SW1-8 to the factory default. note
