BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
The precautions below should be followed when using batteries in this device:

REMOTE CONTROL BASICS
•Before you can operate the remote control, you must first install the batteries (included). See “Inserting Batteries” on this page above for instructions.
•Press the POWER button to turn the television on or off.
•Make sure the TV/CATV switch is set to TV. Move the switch to CATV only if you need to operate a cable box. (You must set the remote control to operate a cable box. Please see page 50 for instructions.)
•Press the CH + and CH – buttons to scan through the channels. Tap the CH + or CH – button to move through the channels one channel at a time.
•Press VOL + or VOL – to raise or lower the volume. An indicator bar will appear onscreen to show you the television volume level.
•The CH +/– and VOL +/– buttons are also used to navigate JVC’s onscreen menu system.

•Each press of TV/DVD on the remote control, switches the screen between the TV screen (TV mode) and the DVD screen (DVD mode). You can operate a TV and TV menu in the TV mode, and a DVD and DVD SETUP menu in the DVD mode.
Operation
• Aim the remote control at the remote sensor and press control buttons to operate.
• Operate the remote control within 30° angle on either side of the remote sensor, up to a dis- tance of Approx. 5 meters.
