Playing back sources from other devices
When you start analog playback of a portable digi-
tal audio player connected to the [LINE IN 1] termi-
nal while the main unit is off or another source is
selected, the main unit automatically turns on and
the source changes to the connected portable digi-
tal audio player. This function is called the quick
portable link function (QP LINK).
Press [QP LINK] repeatedly to select
“QP ON” in the display window.
To deactivate QP LINK, select “QP OFF”.
You can set QP LINK when the main unit is both
on and off.
When “QP ON” is selected
1Connect a portable digital audio
player to the [LINE IN 1] terminal
using an audio cable.
2Start playback on the portable dig-
ital audio player.
• If the main unit is off, the main unit automati-
cally turns on.
• The source from the portable digital audio
player is automatically selected, “LINE 1” is
displayed and sound is produced.
NOTE
*1 When “QP ON” is displayed, “:ACT” or “:NO
ACT” is also displayed to indicate the status of
QP LINK. (According to the status of the main
unit, “:ACT” and “:NO ACT” changes automati-
cally.)
- “QP ON :ACT” is displayed when QP LINK
is activated and available.
- “QP ON :NO ACT” is displayed when QP
LINK is activated but unavailable.
Pressing [QP LINK] once can be used to con-
firm the status of QP LINK.
If the sensitivity for the input audio signal is too
high, QP LINK may be activated even when the
portable digital audio player is not played back.
At this time, you can select the lower sensitivity.
Hold down [QP LINK].
Each time you hold down [QP LINK], the display
changes in the display window as follows.
