Convenient functions of disc/file playback
When a disc/file is played back
1Press [ON SCREEN] twice.
TV screen for a DVD VIDEO (example)
2Press 2 or 3 to select an item you
want to operate, and then press
[ENTER].
• To turn off the menu bar, press [ON
SCREEN].
DVD VIDEO
VCD/SVCD/CD/ASF/DivX/MPEG1/MPEG2
(the example below is for a CD)
NOTE
* The playback status has the same meaning of
the mark on the on-screen guide. (Refer to page
26.)
To select the settings for those items listed below
without a description of their operation, press 5 or
/ to select an item and press [ENTER].

Time : Elapsed playback time of
the current chapter.
REM : Remaining time of the cur-
rent chapter.
CD (operating during playback)/
VCD/SVCD
Time : Elapsed playback time of
the current track.
REM : Remaining time of the cur-
rent track.
TOTAL : Elapsed playback time of
the disc.
T.REM : Remaining time of the disc.

Selects a chapter. Press the number
buttons to enter the chapter number
